Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all logistical aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Monitoring event budgets, controlling costs to deliver within financial constraints.
  • Managing and supervising event staff, including ensuring proper training.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all events.
  • Ensuring a positive experience for attendees through effective management.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding.

Location: Ironmongers Hall, EC2Y 8AA

Rate of pay: £33,000 per annum

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Mostly Monday - Friday with occasional weekends , Shifts time between 7-4, 11-7, 12-8, 4 - late

The Venue:

  • We have 1 event spaces on site
  • We host sit down dinners for up to 170 people
  • Drinks receptions for up to 300 people
  • Regularly host small, medium and large functions for morning/afternoon tea, working lunches and buffets

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event and planning Logistics:

Overseeing all logistical aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown, including venue selection, catering, staffing, and transportation.

  • Budget Management:

Monitoring event budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring that events are delivered within financial constraints.

  • Staff Management:

Managing and supervising event staff, including volunteers, and ensuring they are adequately trained and prepared for their roles.

  • Health and Safety:

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations at all events.

  • Customer Experience:

Ensuring a positive and seamless experience for attendees through effective event management and problem-solving.

  • Communication:

Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and team members, to ensure a shared understanding of event goals and objectives.

Our Ideal candidate will have contract catering or hospitality background.
