MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a member of the Rocket team, you will win, organise, and execute key company events to the highest standards. You will creatively exceed client expectations to drive business and venue relationships within the Rocket portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales

  • Create bespoke quotes for clients to rival competitors and win business, ensuring efficiency.
  • Exceed client expectations by creating concepts and menu proposals that maximise revenue while controlling costs.
  • Organise and deliver client tastings to showcase our products and standards.
  • Nurture existing client relationships to secure repeat business.
  • Identify and attract new clients to increase turnover beyond budgets.
  • Seek clients in different sectors aligned with company growth and marketing strategies.
  • Build trusted relationships with venues to secure our position as a preferred supplier.
  • Manage event costs regarding deposits, credit, and discounts.
  • Contribute to tenders in collaboration with the events team.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of food, drink, and restaurant trends.

Procedure

  • Own an events portfolio from start to finish, providing clear direction.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries.
  • Create concepts and designs in collaboration with kitchen and decor teams to exceed expectations.
  • Attend site meetings to ensure thorough preparation.
  • Maintain accurate event notes, including special requests, and communicate these across teams.
  • Manage suppliers to uphold high standards.

Execution of Operations

  • Deliver events of exceptional standards in line with Rocket expectations.
  • Attend client events as a confident presence.
  • Provide feedback to staffing and operations teams to maintain high training standards.

Team Support

  • Support colleagues during larger events.
  • Assist in training junior team members.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately within the team.

Other

  • Work with directors to meet business goals and improve systems.
  • Support various company operations as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the Rocket brand.
  • Foster good relationships with colleagues and departments.
