Job summary

William Reed is seeking an experienced Events Manager to deliver high-profile conferences, awards and networking events for retailers, brands, suppliers and industry leaders. You’ll own a portfolio from concept through to on-site delivery and post-event evaluation, crafting memorable experiences that strengthen our brands and connect communities.

  • Coordinate event logistics, including speakers, sponsors, catering, AV and production.
  • Build relationships with sponsors, venues, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Take ownership of on-site delivery and resolve issues to high standards.

Job description

As an Events Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high-profile events that bring together retailers, brands, suppliers and industry leaders from across the retail sector. Taking ownership of a portfolio of conferences, awards and networking events, you'll create exceptional experiences that strengthen our brands, connect our communities and deliver value for customers and stakeholders.

Working across some of the UK's leading retail brands, you'll take ownership of event delivery from concept through to completion, helping to shape memorable experiences while contributing to the continued growth and success of our events portfolio.

This position can be based in either our London or Brighton office, with flexibility to travel between sites.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing a portfolio of conferences, awards and networking events from initial planning through to on-site delivery and post-event completion
  • Creating and managing detailed project plans and critical paths to ensure successful delivery against agreed timelines
  • Managing event budgets, supplier relationships and venue sourcing to deliver commercially successful events
  • Coordinating event logistics, including speakers, sponsors, catering, audio-visual requirements and technical production
  • Building strong relationships with sponsors, venues, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless event experience
  • Taking ownership of on-site event delivery, proactively resolving issues and ensuring events are executed to a high standard
What You'll Need
  • Experience managing events from planning through to delivery, ideally within a corporate, B2B, agency or commercial events environment
  • Confidence taking ownership of events and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating conferences, awards or other stakeholder-led events, including sponsor and speaker management
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with clients, sponsors, suppliers, venues and colleagues across the business
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and willingness to be at the heart of event delivery, both onsite and behind the scenes
