Digital Catapult is seeking a confident Events Manager to join the Marcomms Team (Marketing, Communications, and Events). The role involves securing, planning, and delivering a portfolio of internal and external events.
The Events Manager will ensure a high standard of client and guest experience and operational delivery at events at the Centre. They will also contribute to securing event opportunities, attracting attendees and partners, and shaping content.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a variety of events (physical, online, hybrid) for Digital Catapult, its programmes, clients, and partners.
- Ensure events align with Digital Catapult and team strategies, meet requirements, target audiences, and objectives, and add value.
- Manage event logistics, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate event operations, including setup, delegate registration, speaker management, catering, AV, visuals, materials, client relations, engagement, feedback, and impact measurement.
- Build relationships with venue users, attendees, and external hosts.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to promote events.
- Create event materials such as pitches, agendas, slides, briefing documents, and legal/financial documents following SOPs.
- Maintain attention to detail, with an interest in technology and innovation; be flexible, quick learner, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Manage multiple events across different formats, themes, and audiences under tight deadlines.
- Implement processes to monitor engagement, brand awareness, reputation, and impact.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, provide advice, and communicate updates to internal teams and leadership.
- Track and analyze event performance using KPIs and reporting tools for continuous improvement.
