Job description

We’re on the hunt for an ambitious, enthusiastic and experienced Event Director to join the Bright team.

Salary: c. £60K (Depending on experience)

About the role

As an Event Director you’ll be in a client-facing role producing and managing live, online & hybrid events from start to finish, which may include:

  • Proposal & Pitch writing including development of creative concepts
  • Venue & Accommodation sourcing and management
  • Digital event platform scoping and management
  • Delegate management & Communications planning
  • Content development (including video)
  • Co-ordinating technical production and event logistics
  • Sourcing, commissioning and managing sub-contractors
  • Running complex budgets & financial reporting
  • Account management of key clients
  • Supporting and being part of a team

We understand and support the benefit of working from home but equally value face-to-face time in the office so this is initially an office-based role, but you will have the opportunity to move to hybrid once you’ve settled in.

As events demand, you will be expected to work onsite, which will include long days, nights away and occasionally a weekend for which you’ll be compensated with time in lieu and an ‘overnight’ payment for nights spent away from home.

About you

We’re looking for someone currently working at an event director-level, or a senior event manager ready to step-up with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an agency environment.

As well as having direct experience of the responsibilities laid out in the job description, the ideal candidate would also have:

  • Solid experience of working in an agency and an understanding of a variety of corporate environments
  • A good understanding of B Corp Values
  • Experience in sustainable practices including; sourcing eco-friendly vendors and waste reduction

You’ll have strong project management skills with an eye for process and detail, and enjoy the freedom of managing your own accounts and projects from start to finish.

You’ll have good communication skills (written and verbal) and feel confident and comfortable talking to clients and be able to build strong relationships.

You’ll have a hands-on approach to project management, with a positive can-do attitude and a problem-solving mindset.

You’ll have a creative & curious mind, knowing how to ask the right questions and enjoy developing your skills and experience.

You’ll love working with a small team, and be comfortable bringing your own creativity and personality.
