Job summary

Legends Global in Derby at Vaillant Live is seeking a passionate Casual Chef to prepare and present high-quality dishes for large events and day-to-day service.

You will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, work with fresh ingredients, and contribute to menu development while maintaining hygiene standards. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a chef in a restaurant, catering, or event setting.
• Passion for food with strong kitchen operations knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible, team-oriented approach with knowledge of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with menu requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared efficiently, maintaining presentation standards.
• Assist in menu development and bring creative ideas to enhance offerings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff for smooth service.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Adapt to varying kitchen environments from large events to intimate dining.
