We are currently looking for an Event Budget Manager to join the Wasserman Boxing Team in London. This role is responsible for supporting the EVP, Managing Executives & Head of Commercial of Global Boxing in ensuring smooth and efficient division operations through daily processes, practices, and requirements. The role involves working closely with the Boxing UK Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and maintain trackers for all Boxing promotional agreements.
  2. Ensure Boxing team expense claims are processed correctly and in line with company policy.
  3. Submit customer invoice requests to the Finance team for processing, providing all contractual support and purchase order information.
  4. Attend debtors review meetings with the Finance team and ensure action items are undertaken as appropriate by the Boxing team.
  5. Build out event budgets before events and forecast various scenarios with robust assumptions.
  6. Work with the Finance team to finalize event budgets, ensuring all internal approvals are obtained in line with processes and procedures.
  7. Track event costs versus budgets, ensuring operational teams maintain spend within approved parameters and escalate variances.
  8. Manage JV partners in relation to event spend, ensuring spend does not exceed approved budgets.
  9. Maintain ticket sales reports leading up to events and provide regular sales status reports to leadership.
  10. Maintain event cash lists as required, including per diems.
  11. Ensure all fighter and supplier contracts are in place for each event.
  12. Work with the Finance team to ensure accurate receipt of invoices and bank information for fighter purses and ensure payments are made in line with contractual terms.
  13. Manage event cash procedures in line with company policy, including cash counting, handling, and receipts.
  14. Provide the Finance team with inputs and industry knowledge for boxer signings and valuation modeling.
Requirements:
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare budgets clearly and insightfully for both finance and non-finance users.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a close-knit, agile team, organizing and prioritizing tasks while multitasking.
