The Role

As an Event Assistant, you're a key part of delivering the Lumos guest experience. This is a stage set up role intertwined with a customer-facing role focused on professionalism, presentation and supporting the Event Manager to ensure every concert runs smoothly. You represent the Lumos brand at all times — from the moment guests arrive to the moment they leave.

It's a great fit for someone who's got a good eye for detail and confident around people, takes pride in how they present themselves, and enjoys being part of a live music atmosphere.

  • Assist with ticket checking and guest list management
  • Direct guests to seating areas
  • Answer general questions about the evening
  • Support audience flow before, during and after the performance

On-Site Support

  • Assist the Event Manager with non-technical event setup
  • Help manage seating adjustments and late arrivals
  • Monitor audience areas during the performance
  • Assist with an orderly guest exit at the end of the event
  • Ensure a team member is always present in the room as a point of contact

Conduct & Professionalism

  • Remain calm, polite and solutions-focused at all times
  • Maintain awareness of your surroundings throughout the shift
  • Speak clearly and confidently to guests
  • Escalate issues promptly to the Event Manager

Team Support

  • Follow direction from the Event Manager
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members
  • Step in proactively during busy periods
  • Help maintain a clean, organised front-of-house area

  • Breaks: Paid 30-minute break for shifts over 6 hours, at the Event Manager's discretion
