Smile Together in Truro, Cornwall is seeking an Out-of-Hours receptionist to cover evening and weekend shifts across Truro, Penzance, and Bodmin. The role offers an hourly rate of £18.00 and placement on our expanding reception team.

The position involves welcoming patients, handling appointments, payments, and front-of-house support in a friendly, patient-focused environment. Weekend and weekday evening shifts are available.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients at reception, manage appointments, respond to telephone and email enquiries, and ensure a smooth patient journey from arrival to departure.
• Process payments, maintain accurate patient records, and support administrative systems in line with practice policies.
• Engage with patients compassionately, helping to reduce anxiety and ensure they feel welcomed, informed, and supported at every stage of their visit.
• Assist with administrative duties including record-keeping, patient preparation, and general front-of-house organisation.
