Job summary

Choices Homecare is recruiting Evening and Weekend Care Assistants for Calderdale locations, covering 4pm–10pm, Monday to Sunday. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time hours, mileage allowance and genuine career progression within the Optimo Care Group.

We provide full training; prior care experience is welcome but not essential. A UK driving licence is required for certain routes, with 30p per mile reimbursed between client visits.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and positive approach.
• Minimum of 16 hours per week with evening/weekend availability.
• UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for some routes and locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and support with eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and support daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and recognise changes in needs or behaviour.
• Keep accurate records and communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
