Job summary

DPD is hiring a warehouse operative in Stoke-on-Trent to join our fast-paced team. The role is permanent for 30 hours per week, with shifts 15:00–21:00, five days a week. You will be on your feet, loading, unloading, scanning, sorting parcels, and ensuring accurate labelling and timely delivery.

Full training is provided from day one, along with uniform and PPE. You will work closely with colleagues to meet daily targets, maintain health and safety standards, and uphold the high service levels

Qualifications

Strong work ethic with a track record of hitting targets.
Team player who works well in a close-knit team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.
Handling items up to 25kg.
Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time.
Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment.
Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly.
Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives.
Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift.
