Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking six Ward Hosts for George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton. You will help maintain a welcoming, safe and clean hospital environment, supporting patients, visitors and staff with cleanliness and catering across wards.

Evening shifts are 16:00–19:00, with an expected commitment of 6–15 hours weekly. Experience in healthcare or food hygiene is advantageous; Level 2 Food Safety is desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety certification desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning/hygiene COSHH procedures.
• Experience cleaning in domestic environments.
• Experience working with the general public.
• Healthcare environment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a timely and accurate response to all cleaning requests.
• Work as part of a ward-based team responsible for food and beverage service to patients.
• Regenerate food, maintain temperature records and serve meals following clinical staff advice.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and serving area, including crockery, cutlery and trolleys.
• Ensure adequate provisions are supplied to ward kitchen and manage stock records.
