Evening Ward Cleaner – Part-Time

Job summary

Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, part of the NHS Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, is recruiting a part-time Domestic Assistant (15 hours per week). Shifts run 17:00–20:00, Monday to Friday, with duties across wards, departments and public areas.

The role involves cleaning and related tasks, with a 4–6 week induction covering cleaning procedures, Health and Safety, and COSHH. Welsh language ability is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Previous experience of cleaning services.
• Able to organise and prioritise own workload.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Demonstrates care, compassion, competence and good communication.
• Receptive to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning and other related duties within wards, departments and public and staff areas.
• Induction period with on the job training including cleaning procedures, Health and safety, COSHH.
