Zusammenfassung

The Nelson Trust in Brimscombe, Stroud, is looking for a dedicated Late Support Worker to join our residential treatment team. You will provide consistent, compassionate support to residents outside daytime hours, helping to maintain a safe, stable environment during the evening.

This part-time role offers 21 hours per week, a pro rata salary of £25,000–£26,500, and a rolling 4pm–10pm shift. You will need a full driving licence, the ability to work alone and to safeguard and support vulnerable

Qualifikationen

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle; willingness to travel.
• Experience or understanding of residential treatment, safeguarding, substance misuse, trauma or supporting vulnerable adults.
• Calm, steady approach with ability to respond thoughtfully under pressure.
• Strong communication and attention to detail when recording and sharing information.
• Willingness to undertake training, including medication administration where required.
• Flexibility to work a rolling evening shift pattern.

Aufgaben

• Be a consistent and reassuring presence to maintain safety during quieter hours.
• Support residents to uphold treatment expectations and stay connected to their recovery journey.
• Welcome new arrivals and help them settle into the house.
• Carry out room checks, medication administration and health & safety checks.
• Respond calmly to challenging situations, including de-escalation when distress.
• Keep accurate records and provide clear handovers to support continuity of care.
