Job summary

Bluebird Care in Timperley, Trafford is seeking an experienced Adult Support Worker for a part-time role (Mon-Wed, 3pm–7pm) with no weekend work. You will provide person-centred support to a young male client, helping him enjoy afternoons and maintain independence in a home setting.

Responsibilities include consistent, client-led support, assisting with activities, wheelchair handling, and personal care as needed, within a caring, experienced team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting adults with additional needs, SEN and/or Autism
• A caring, patient and positive approach
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable working as part of a wider care team
• Reliable and committed to the agreed weekday hours

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, person-centred support
• Support the client at home and with appropriate activities
• Offer encouragement and reassurance
• Provide minor personal care as needed
• Assist safely with wheelchair handling
• Help create a positive, engaging and enjoyable environment
• Work alongside a supportive and experienced care team
