Job summary

CV Technical Limited in Preston is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to own a production area and drive performance in a well-established manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and delivering targets while developing a high-performing team.

You will lead day-to-day operations, coach staff, and collaborate with engineering and operations to sustain continuous improvement and high-quality textile flooring production.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Production Team Leader or similar role.
• Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the day-to-day operation of the production area.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant, equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Drive production performance, ensuring quality, output and delivery targets are achieved.
• Coach, develop and support team members to improve capability and flexibility.
• Work closely with technical, engineering and operational teams.
• Lead problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all production, quality and process documentation is completed to the required standards.
• Promote a positive culture focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement.
