Job summary

East Renfrewshire Council is recruiting a Cleaner for Carolside Primary School in the Education department. The role is part-time, term-time 39 weeks, with 15 hours per week (Mon-Fri 15:30–18:30). The post is permanent and salary is pro-rata, with a 1-grade scale and an hourly rate around £11.82–£12.50.

You will perform cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic environment, with an interview in person as part of the recruitment process. Applications close on Sunday 08 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties including washing, emptying litter bins, sweeping, dusting and vacuum cleaning to keep toilets and premises clean.
• Operate powered equipment where appropriate and ensure hygienic conditions are maintained.
• Attend interview in person.
