Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness at Lea Valley Academy, Enfield. You will join our Facilities Team to ensure internal school facilities are cleaned to required standards.

The role involves general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management with a focus on safety and hygiene. The position is 20 hours per week, 4PM-8PM, Monday to Friday, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge and experience and attention to detail in cleaning services and cleaning equipment including COSHH and Health and Safety
• Good timekeeping and attendance are important
• Ability to work to laid down schedules.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including mopping hard floors, vacuuming carpets, damp-wiping desks, tables, chairs, and hard surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, push plates, and other frequently used surfaces.
• Empty bins and ensure safe collection, storage, and removal of waste to designated collection points.
• Replenish consumables in toilets and staff areas, including soap, paper towels, and toilet roll.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, following COSHH guidelines and colour coding systems, and wearing PPE as provided.
