Job summary

Home Bargains is seeking Store Team Members with a primary focus on maintaining clean and hygienic store environments. This part-time role includes supporting customer service, stock replenishment and occasional till duties.

You will be expected to work 20 hours per week, typically 5pm–9pm, with a salary of £12.71–£13.00 per hour including a regional allowance. Training provided for cleaning duties and equipment use.

Qualifications

• Be aged 18 or over, in line with the company's health and safety requirements for the cleaning duties and operation of machinery.
• Be reliable, punctual and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Be willing and able to undertake cleaning duties, including operating cleaning machinery following appropriate training.
• Be flexible and willing to support with other Store Team Member duties as and when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment, including the Hako floor scrubbing machine, following training and safety procedures.
• Clean and sanitise staff areas, toilets, bathrooms and communal spaces to high hygiene standards.
• Sweep, mop, dust and clean shop floors, shelving, displays and other areas as required.
• Identify spills and hazards and respond promptly to maintain a safe environment.
• Support with replenishing stock, deliveries and maintaining product displays.
• Assist with till operations and other shop floor activities when required.
