Job summary

Health Partners is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join a multidisciplinary team onsite in Plymouth. The role focuses on evening shifts, delivering health surveillance and wellbeing initiatives while maintaining occupational health programmes with an emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You will work within defined protocols, support health promotion activities and report to clinical staff as required.

Qualifications

• No recognised professional qualification required; suitable backgrounds include the items listed.
• Backgrounds such as healthcare related roles are acceptable.
• Experience in health or wellbeing settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake health screening procedures including baseline measurements and surveillance tests.
• Record medical information accurately in occupational health records for clinical staff.
• Ensure equipment is serviceable, calibrated and clean.
• Follow set protocols and escalate queries outside competencies to clinical staff.
• Handle drug and alcohol testing chain of custody procedures where applicable.
• Perform non-clinical tasks and health promotion activities as trained.
