Job summary

Tops Day Nurseries is hiring a part-time cleaner in Portsmouth to help keep our nurseries clean and safe for children. You’ll work evenings 12.5 hours per week, with duties including disinfection, laundry considerations, and stock checks. DBS check will be completed if not already held.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning role is advantageous.
• Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards around children.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Keep communal areas, kitchens and staff rooms clean and tidy.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust all areas.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely.
• Report problems, faults and damage promptly.
