Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is recruiting a Supermarket Assistant for Waitrose in Saxmundham. You’ll provide friendly, partner-led service and support food lovers with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll help keep shelves stocked and fulfill online orders while maintaining a clean, safe shop environment. The role is temporary/part-time with varied hours: Tue 18:00-23:00, Fri 16:00-22:00, Sat 18:00-00:00.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable effective teamwork and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for driver delivery to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and date-based markdowns.
• Support wider shop team with checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and general shopkeeping tasks.
