Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting Mail Sorters to work at Royal Mail's Sheffield Mail Centre on a temporary assignment. This is an ideal role for anyone seeking evening work or extra income, with full training provided.

You will sort mail, load and unload mail cages, and prepare items for dispatch while following health and safety procedures. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 18:00–22:00, at the Sheffield site.

Qualifications

• No prior mail-sorting experience required; full training provided.
• Must have own safety boots and high viz vest.
• Able to commit to the required shift pattern.
• Physically fit for standing, walking and moving mail.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming and outgoing mail and parcels.
• Load and unload mail cages and containers.
• Move mail safely around the site.
• Prepare mail for dispatch.
• Work to set deadlines to ensure mail is processed efficiently.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
