Job summary

Sodexo is hiring in London for an experienced cleaning professional to lead the evening team at a prestigious corporate site. You will oversee rotas, training, performance and daily activities, ensuring high standards and smooth operations.

Bring at least two years in cleaning, strong communication, and practical experience with floor/Carpet cleaners, buffers and polishers. A proactive safety mindset and COSHH knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience as a cleaning professional.
• Experience supervising or working in a team environment is preferred.
• Confident communication and ability to motivate colleagues.
• Proficiency with professional cleaning equipment and procedures.
• Solid understanding of COSHH, Manual Handling and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the evening cleaning team, managing rotas and daily activities.
• Carry out inspections, audits and building walks to maintain standards.
• Support stock, waste operations and contractor activity; escalate issues.
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and safe working practices.

What you'll do:

• Lead and inspire the evening cleaning team, overseeing rotas, training, performance and day-to-day activities to keep the team motivated and supported.
• Champion high standards, carrying out regular inspections, audits and building walks to ensure our cleaning service consistently meets expectations.
• Keep operations running smoothly, supporting stock management, waste operations, cleaning schedules and contractor activity while resolving and escalating issues when needed.
• Put safety first, promoting a strong Health & Safety culture, carrying out safety observations and ensuring the team follows safe working practices at all times.

What you'll bring:

• Experienced cleaning professional with at least two years' experience across a range of environments, ideally with experience supervising or working as part of a team.
• Confident communicator and team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
• Skilled in using professional cleaning equipment, including floor and carpet cleaners, buffers and polishers, with a strong commitment to following procedures and maintaining high standards.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, including COSHH and Manual Handling, with a proactive approach to creating a safe working environment.
