Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead the evening catering operation. This hands-on role involves directing the team, ensuring exceptional service and a smooth shutdown of the service each shift.

Shifts run Friday 6:00pm–11:00pm and Saturday to Sunday 6:00pm–11:30pm, at £13.77 per hour for 16 hours per week. We value food quality, safety, and customer experience, and we expect you to be proactive, reliable and capable of managing stock, cashing up, and supervising staff

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality or food service.
• Experience supervising or managing a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Organised, reliable and able to make independent decisions.
• Positive attitude with passion for great food and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the evening catering team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Prepare and serve fresh food while maintaining high quality standards.
• Manage stock levels, conduct stock takes and ensure products are available and well-presented.
• Handle cashing up procedures and ensure accurate financial controls at end of service.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards throughout the shift.
• Ensure smooth operation in the absence of senior management.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and motivating the evening catering team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
