Job summary

The Glee Club Cardiff in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay, seeks enthusiastic bar staff to join our team for 2–4 shifts weekly. You will read tickets, mix drinks, set up and close the bar, and help the floor team with service, maintaining hygiene and a friendly atmosphere.

Shifts run evenings, with 5pm–7pm starts and 8pm–11:30pm finishes; weekend work including bank holidays is required. £12.71ph + tips plus a bonus scheme, paid every four weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and available to work weekends and evenings, including 31st December.
• Willing to be cross-trained and work across both bar and floor departments.

Responsibilities

• Read tickets and make drinks efficiently and accurately.
• Clean, set up and close down the bar to a high standard.
• Help the floor team take out drinks orders to tables.
• Collect empty glasses / ice buckets / rubbish from the floor during intervals.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness on the bar during service.
• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Reduce and record any waste.
• Restock / reset the bar during intervals.
• Assist the bar manager with deep cleans / keeping the cellar tidy / ensuring the bar runs effectively.
