EV Site Planning Assistant – EV Charging (Hybrid – London HQ)

£28,000 – £32,000 + 10% Bonus

Location: London (Hybrid)

Company Overview

Our client is a fast-growing company in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, helping drive the UK’s transition to clean, sustainable energy. As part of their expansion, they’re looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Graduate EV Site Planning Assistant to join their team.

This is an office-based, entry-level administrative and research role - ideal for recent graduates with an interest in mapping, sustainability, or infrastructure. Note: this is not a field-based or engineering role, and no site travel is required.

Role Overview

You’ll be responsible for helping identify suitable locations for on-street EV charging points using online mapping tools (e.g., Google Maps, GIS). Working from a list of UK postcodes and streets, you’ll assess potential sites and create basic layout documents to support planning and rollout teams.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the rapidly growing EV industry while building skills in project support, mapping, and sustainable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use Google Maps and similar tools to review locations for potential EV charger installations.
  • Create simple design documents showing charger and parking bay placements.
  • Capture and record site details using screenshots, notes, and templates.
  • Organise site information and progress updates using internal tools (e.g., Excel, CRM, project tracking platforms).
  • Support cross-functional teams with site data and planning admin.
  • Maintain internal site databases and ensure information is kept up to date.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A recent graduate or early-career professional with strong administrative and digital skills.
  • Confident using mapping tools such as Google Maps (experience with GIS is a plus, not required).
  • Organised, accurate, and detail-oriented when working with data and documents.
  • Interested in sustainability, transport, or urban planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to produce clean, basic visuals or layouts.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing their own tasks.

Background:

Degree or interest in Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or similar.

No prior experience in EV is necessary - just a willingness to learn.

What’s on Offer

  • Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + 10% annual bonus
  • Hybrid working – based from London HQ with flexible office days
  • Work with a mission-driven company making a real impact on UK sustainability
  • Career development opportunities in the fast-growing EV sector
  • Collaborative, supportive team culture
