Job summary

We Power Your Car is expanding and seeks an electrical installer to fit EV charging points in domestic and commercial settings. You will install circuits to supply EV chargers, verify installations, and complete Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates in line with BS7671 18th edition.

You will diagnose and repair issues, conduct site surveys to establish cable routes, and ensure work meets manufacturer standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition and relevant electrical installation qualifications are required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• C&G Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (preferable).
• EV Charging 2919 (preferable).
• AM2/AM2s

Responsibilities

• Install circuits to supply EV charging points in commercial and domestic settings.
• Initial Verification of Electrical Installations and completion of certificates.
• Diagnose and repair issues with EV charging installations and complete paperwork.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing on EV charging circuits.
• Conduct site surveys to establish cable routes for new circuits.
• Ensure workmanship meets company standards, building regulations and safety requirements.

General job description

• Installation of new circuits to supply EV charging points in commercial and domestic settings complying with BS7671 18th edition.
• Initial Verification of Electrical Installations and completion of Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates.
• Diagnose and repair issues with existing EV Charging Installations in both Commercial and Domestic settings and fill out the relevant paperwork necessary afterwards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing on EV Charging circuits in both Commercial and Domestic Setting and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct site surveys to establish cable routes for installation methods for new EV Charging circuits in both Commercial and Domestic settings.
• Ensure good quality of workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building regulations, and follows the company’s safety requirements.
