Job summary

Lucy Electric is seeking an experienced Tendering & Design Engineer to support technically compliant tender submissions for LV switchgear, package substations and EV infrastructure projects. You will contribute to both tendering and preliminary design, producing solutions, drawings, equipment selections and costing support.

Hybrid working is available, with strong collaboration across Tendering, Sales and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in Tendering/Design Engineer roles.
Experience with LV switchgear for EV sector is highly desirable.
BS 7671 and related electrical standards knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare tender documentation and technical submissions within required timescales.
Develop technically compliant solutions for LV switchgear, package substations and EV charging infra projects.
Produce and modify electrical design drawings using 2D/3D CAD tools.
Create contract drawings and general arrangement diagrams; maintain documentation records.
Engage with customers and internal teams to support bid reviews and project delivery.
Identify improvements to tendering processes and design standards.
