Qualifications

• 18th Edition BS 7671 wiring standards are essential.
• Experience installing EV charge-points across properties.
• Good inspection, testing and fault-finding knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Strong health and safety awareness on site.
• Professional approach with customers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission EV charging points for domestic and commercial sites.
• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works.
• Install and connect electrical systems and complete certifications.
• Upgrades to consumer units and distribution boards where needed.
• Inspect and test completed installations and diagnose faults.
• Carry out remedial works safely and professionally.
• Ensure work complies with current regulations and documentation.
• Liaise with customers and team members; maintain quality and safety.
• Travel to project locations as required.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join an established and growing renewable energy business.

The successful candidate will work across a range of renewable energy and low-carbon electrical projects, with a particular focus on EV charging installations, alongside solar PV, battery storage and associated electrical works.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking to build a long-term career within the rapidly expanding renewables sector, working on a varied portfolio of domestic and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission EV charging points across domestic and commercial properties.
• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works.
• Install and connect electrical systems
• Complete consumer unit upgrades, distribution board work and associated electrical installations.
• Carry out inspection and testing of completed installations.
• Diagnose faults and undertake electrical remedial works where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with current electrical regulations.
• Complete electrical certification and installation documentation accurately.
• Liaise professionally with customers, clients and other members of the installation team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service.
• Travel to various project locations as required.

Essential Requirements

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - BS 7671.
• Proven experience carrying out electrical installation work.
• Experience with EV charge-point installations.
• Good understanding of inspection, testing and fault finding.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team.
• Professional approach when dealing with customers and clients.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

• EV Charging qualification / manufacturer-specific EV training.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing.
