This apprenticeship combines hands-on workshop experience with engineering mentorship and a clear career path, including progression to advanced EV diagnostics roles and Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4 or above.
• A Level Maths and Physics at grade B or higher.
• BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering (DDM) desirable.
• Hands-on workshop experience encouraged.
• Commitment to studying toward a degree apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on electrical diagnostics on workshop floor using multimeters and scanners.
• Work with high-voltage EV systems and battery components.
• Read circuit diagrams, strip, crimp, and repair wiring harnesses.
• Dismantle and bench-test electronic modules and actuators.
• Assist ECU programming and software calibration under supervision.
• Contribute to workshop improvement projects and safety practices.
