Job summary

Ground Control is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor in London to lead on Public EV Charge Point projects along highways. You will supervise field teams, ensure works run safely, on time and to high quality standards, coordinating with the Site Manager and stakeholders.

You will drive site operations from mobilization to completion, maintaining documentation, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Highway/street works experience, ideally on live public highways.
• NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Traffic management experience and understanding of highway site set-ups.
• Underground services experience, including CAT & Genny and service avoidance.
• Excavation, ducting, bases, backfill and reinstatement experience.
• EV charging experience - charger bases, feeder pillars and related infra.
• Good understanding of DNO/ICP drawings.
• Evidence of managing multiple jobs/crews at the same time.
• Experience with RAMS, permits, inspections and CDM requirements.
• Ability to manage local authorities, clients and highway inspectors.
• Strong quality-control and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered in line with project plans and deadlines.
• Support the Site Manager with coordination of labour, materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and risks.
• Provide daily briefings and allocate tasks to field teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance to achieve standards.
• Ensure site teams understand responsibilities and deadlines.
• Verify RAMS and permits are in place before work commences.
• Conduct site inspections for HSE and quality compliance.
• Report hazards and best practices through Safety Culture.
• Support QA activities through inspections and audits.
• Escalate issues where appropriate.
• Act as a communication link between site teams and Site Manager.
• Provide accurate updates on progress and client interactions.
• Make informed operational decisions and manage issues.
• Maintain records using Microsoft Office, Skillco and Safety Culture.
