Job summary

Marmion is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join a fast-growing EV charging infrastructure business delivering nationwide solutions across AC, DC, HPC systems. You will diagnose faults, commission and update firmware, and perform maintenance and repairs to maximise uptime.

The role requires hands-on field experience, strong fault-finding, and the ability to travel across Greater London and UK regions. A valid UK driving licence and Right to Work are essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and system faults on EV charging equipment.

• Provide on-site technical support and clear customer updates.

If you’re a qualified Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving problems in the field, this is an opportunity to join a fast-growing EV infrastructure business delivering critical charging solutions across the UK. Working across AC, Rapid DC, Ultra & High-Power Charging Systems (HPC), you will play a key role in commissioning, maintaining and repairing EV charging equipment, with clear opportunities to develop your skills in a rapidly growing sector.

The Role

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and system faults on EV charging equipment.
• Commission, configure and carry out firmware updates where required.

• Ensure accurate reporting and full compliance in-line with safety standards.

Salary, Overtime & Benefits

• Paid Overtime (1.5x/2x rates) – strong earning potential
• On-Call Allowance (1 in 3 weeks)
• Covering Greater London, M25 Corridor(home-based with daily travel and occasional overnight stays)

Skills & Experience

You’ll ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Electrical Qualification, AM2 and BS7671 - IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing and a valid JIB Gold Card.
• At least 3 years’ experience working to SLAs in a commercial field-based electrical installation/maintenance environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability with confidence working independently in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and work closely with both internal stakeholders and customers.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (multimeters & voltage testers)
• A valid UK driving licence, happy with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Experience working within EV Charging/Renewable Energy would be advantageous but not essential, our client is open to speaking with candidates from a range of industries.
• Candidates must have a permanent Right to Work in the UK. Please note, our client cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.
