Job description

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

  • As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

We’re looking for ahands-on, customer-focused European Solutions Engineering Leadto anchor our technical presence across the UK and EMEA. You’ll work closely with our world-class R&D team in the U.S. to bring new technologies to the European theatre, supporting system integration, field deployments, and capability development for key defence partners.

This is not a back-office role. You’ll be boots-on-ground with our customers, ensuring Neros systems are delivered, understood, and fully operational from day one. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the European Growth Lead, shaping the way cutting-edge FPV systems are deployed in some of the most demanding environments in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of FPV systems—how they’re built, tuned, maintained, and flown.
  • Hands-on FPV pilot or drone builder preferred.
  • Technically adept with strong troubleshooting skills across mechatronics, electronics, and software.
  • Clear communicator, able to translate technical complexity for non-engineers.
  • Proven experience working in or with defence/military organisations is highly desirable.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
  • Willing to travel for customer support, training, and trials (UK & EU).

You should have the following

  • Act as the primary technical interface for UK and EMEA customers post-sale.
  • Lead setup, testing, integration, and deployment of Neros FPV systems in operational environments.
  • Provide in-person and remote support across hardware, RF, electronics, firmware, software, and mechanical systems.
  • Deliver flight demonstrations, onboarding sessions, and operator training packages.
  • Work with the U.S. engineering team to adapt new products to the needs of the European theatre.
  • Capture user feedback and real-world field data to drive future improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, field guides, and troubleshooting materials.
  • Represent Neros at trials, customer engagements, and key industry events.

  • MSc in Computer Science , Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Exposure toUAV mechatronics—particularly FPV and tactical UAS.
  • Familiarity withUK commercial UAV licensing:
    • Holding aGVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate)
    • Experience operating under theUK Specific Category (SORA/PDRA) framework is beneficial.
