Job description

As a well-established manufacturing business and market leader in the UK, we are seeking a seasoned European Sales Manager to oversee a vast territory. This role is ideally suited for a technical consumables sales specialist based in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, or Holland.

Salary: A£80,000 - A£100,000 per annum

As a European Sales Manager, you will be a natural salesperson who enjoys some direct line management. You should demonstrate passion, commitment, and inspire others. This role champions technical sales and offers autonomy to manage distributors and drive regional strategy.

In addition, you will be:

  • Knowledgeable in the technical consumables sector (paints, resins, coatings, adhesives, construction, flooring, roofing, abrasives)
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are advantageous
  • A highly motivated self-starter capable of prioritizing workload commercially
  • Possessing a full driving license and passport, willing to travel across Europe

Job description: This role involves up to 70-80% travel depending on your home base. You will report to the UK Managing Director and be responsible for maximizing profitable sales across your territory.

You will:

  • Work with and manage key distributors to generate demand by providing site support to end-users and industry stakeholders
  • Manage a team of three direct reports across Europe, driving regional sales
  • Develop and implement a regional business development strategy
  • Manage your own schedule, travel, and accommodation autonomously
  • Prepare monthly sales activity reports, including customer feedback, progress, and competitor activity
