European Road Freight Import Clerk

Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Noble Recruiting are pleased to be working with a well-established logistics company in Basildon, who are expanding their team with the addition of a confident and experienced European Road Freight Import Clerk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Department Manager with the daily running of the import operation
• Input jobs and manifests into the FMS system
• Coordinate with depots and warehouse teams to ensure efficient trailer offloading
• Liaise with agents and customers to meet delivery requirements
• Track and record haulier arrival/departure times
• Calculate pricing and costs on manifests
• Update spreadsheets and assist with KPI reporting

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in European road freight (import)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confident using systems and Excel for tracking and reporting
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Full right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
• Access to own transport is desirable
