Job summary

GSK is seeking a Regional Head of Occupational Health / Regional Medical Director to lead Occupational Health across Europe, including the UK. You will drive clinical governance, health surveillance, and fitness-for-work programs while balancing global standards with local regulatory needs.

The role requires strong influence, strategic leadership, and collaboration with HR, EHS, and technical experts. It is a hybrid UK-based position with travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Qualified physician with GMC registration (UK) or eligible to register.
• MFOM or FFOM (or equivalent) in Occupational Medicine.
• Strong clinical governance and regulatory compliance expertise.
• Experience leading OH in a large matrix organisation with multi-geography influence.
• Experience governing outsourced or hybrid OH service models.

Responsibilities

• Act as regional medical leader for Occupational Health across Europe, including UK.
• Provide specialist leadership on health risk management, health surveillance and fitness-for-work.
• Build partnerships across countries, sites and functions to align OH priorities.
• Lead regional improvement programmes for quality, governance and capability.
• Oversee clinical governance across Europe with internal and third-party OH providers.
• Monitor service performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure governance, financial sustainability and regulatory compliance in the UK OH services.
• Represent GSK with stakeholders and advisory bodies to promote best practice.
