Job Description:

To support the growth in complex and structured trades executed by our Power and Gas trading desks, we are seeking a Quantitative Developer to join our Structuring and Valuation team in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design the software architecture of the quantitative pricing library.
  2. Collaborate with Quantitative Analysts to ensure new model implementations are maintainable and reusable.
  3. Improve and refactor existing model implementations where feasible.
  4. Promote software engineering best practices and mentor team members in adopting them.
  5. Ensure the development environment utilizes up-to-date tools and techniques.
  6. Create automated reports and visualization tools to support trading decisions.
  7. Analyze large datasets and calibrate models in collaboration with Quantitative Analysts.
  8. Optimize the performance of computationally intensive models.
Key Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a software development role.
  • Proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming; experience with databases/SQL.
  • Deep understanding of Agile software development and best practices.
  • Experience in trading and quantitative analytics domains.
  • Ideally, experience with pricing/risk-management systems and knowledge of energy markets.
  • Degree qualification.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Team-oriented and self-driven attitude.
  • Fluent in English.
