Job summary

Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a leading energy/commodity brokerage aiming to mirror US growth in the UK. The client has a strong US gas business and plans to replicate this success within the TTF/European gas markets.

With a warm launch in mind, a small team of 2-3 gas brokers is sought to join the client concurrently, focusing on building a UK/European gas desk, executing trades, and expanding liquidity across energy products.

Qualifications

• Proven background with client exposure in European gas space.
• 3+ years in energy brokerage or corporate sales within derivatives.
• Excellent sales and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the energy desk in expanding a gas brokerage in the UK/Europe, focusing on TTF/European gas.
• Execute trades timely on behalf of an international energy client base.
• Collaborate with the energy team to offer liquidity across oil, power, gas, coal, environmental, carbon, LNG, etc.
• Develop relationships with corporate/institutional clients and promote the firm's gas brokerage offering.
• Monitor market news/analysis to provide accurate, timely info to clients in Euro gas markets.
• Coordinate with US teams on cross-sell opportunities and growth of the desk.

Title: European Gas Brokers

Location: London, UK

Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by one of the world's fastest growing energy/commodity brokerages as they look to replicate their extraordinary growth in the US markets in the UK. Our client has an incredibly successful US gas business and has a requirement/business case to replicate this on TTF/European Gas.

With a warm launch in mind, we are seeking a small team of 2-3 gas brokers to join our client concurrently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the energy desk in expanding a gas brokerage desk in the UK/European markets, particularly covering the TTF/European gas space
• Execute trades in a timely manner on behalf of international energy client base
• Work with the wider energy team on offering liquidity across oil, power, gas, coal, environmental, carbon, LNG etc.
• Actively generate relationships with corporate/institutional clients and promote the firms global gas brokerage offering
• Keep up to date with market news/analysis to provide accurate, timely and bespoke information to clients in the Euro Gas markets
• Work with senior management on growth of the desk/business, whilst communicating with US based teams on cross-sell opportunity

Requirements:

• Proven background and client exposure in the European Gas space
• 3+ years experience in energy brokerage/corporate sales in derivatives
• Excellent understanding of derivatives brokerage across options or futures
• Desire to work in a fast growing business with a burgeoning energy offering
• Committed and efficient with a demonstrable ability to handle work independently and support a wider desk where required
• Excellent sales and analysis skills
• Located in London or able to relocate
