Job summary

White Recruitment Construction is seeking an experienced European Operator in Gloucester to join a busy European Operations team. You will coordinate shipments, liaise with customers and overseas agents, and ensure freight moves smoothly from collection to delivery with accuracy and care.

The role suits someone with a background in European transport or freight forwarding, strong organisational and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding operations.
• Organised and commercially aware with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills when dealing with customers, agents and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate European shipments from booking to delivery.
• Maintain relationships with customers and overseas agents with regular updates.
• Create and manage shipments in the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Collaborate with Customs, Transport and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth movement.
• Prepare load lists, manifests and customs instructions.
• Review customer invoices for compliance with UK and EU customs requirements.
