European Field Service Engineer, Scientific Instrumentation

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + Bonus

Opportunities for experienced service engineers from various electronics systems backgrounds, including ex-forces engineers with medical, dental, weapons, or radar experience, to join a market-leading scientific instrumentation manufacturer.

The Role – European Field Service Engineer, Scientific Instrumentation

This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer-focused European Field Service Engineer responsible for:

  1. Service, installation, repair, and calibration of a wide range of sophisticated scientific instrumentation used in pathology departments, NHS laboratories, and clinical chemistry environments.
  2. Providing support at customer sites.
  3. Traveling approximately 30% across Europe, typically once a month for about four days (Monday to Thursday).
  4. Traveling within the UK as required.
Your Background – European Field Service Engineer, Scientific Instrumentation

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate:

  • A competent background in a customer-facing field service engineering capacity, gained within high-value capital equipment environments.
  • Applications from engineers with backgrounds in laboratory devices, medical devices, pharmaceutical devices, ex-forces (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar), and other electronic or electro-mechanical sectors are encouraged.
  • A qualification in engineering, electronics, or a science-based subject at minimum ONC level.

Full and comprehensive product training will be provided.
