Job summary

Realty Income Corporation seeks a Director of Financial Reporting in London to lead European close, consolidation and external reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The role focuses on standardising processes, enhancing controls and coordinating audits with senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will drive compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and Dutch/Luxembourg GAAP, while steering SOX controls, regulatory filings and technical accounting guidance across the European portfolio.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in financial reporting and controllership within a multi-entity environment.
• Expertise in IFRS and Dutch GAAP with ability to document complex transactions.
• Experience leading multi-entity/multi-currency close, consolidation and external audits.
• Experience owning SOX or equivalent internal-control program and remediation.
• Strong systems capability with ERP or consolidation platforms.
• Credible senior communication skills to influence across a matrixed organisation.
• Qualified accountant designation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with 5+ years post-qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close across European entities to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Oversee multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Review and approve material accounting entries and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Own group, statutory and external reporting across the European portfolio.
• Ensure IFRS, US GAAP, Dutch GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP compliance.
• Lead European audits and manage SOX controls and remediation actions.
• Drive reporting transformation and automation with finance and executives.
