Position: European Customs Clearance Coordinator

Industry: International Freight Forwarding

Holiday: 25 days + Banks

Hours: Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5:30pm

Our client is a fast-growing, privately owned freight forwarding specialist in the UK, proud to be truly independent. This independence allows for more agility in decision-making, and the company boasts a fantastic culture and working environment.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a new customs clearance professional to join our friendly team at our head office in Basingstoke.

We are looking for a European Road Freight operator or customs clearance coordinator who is analytically minded with meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient in import and export customs entries and clearances.

• Proficiency in UK/EU Customs regulations
• Excellent knowledge of import and export customs procedures, primarily European Road Freight

Role & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all import and export customs procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates, and related documentation
• Stay updated with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures
• Extensive knowledge of Customs Commodity Codes is advantageous
• Ensure all customer needs are met or exceeded within our compliance controls
• Handle all duties related to clearing freight/shipments through customs
• Management of the full shipping and freight forwarding process is a plus
