Job summary

Mercury Engineering seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead multi-jurisdiction projects across Europe. You will oversee tender processes from an operations perspective, coordinate head office–site communications, and drive continuous improvement while managing budgets and stakeholder relations.

Travel across EU countries is required; German language skills are a plus. The role demands strong leadership, risk and change management, and the ability to align project plans with Mercury's

Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience running multiple large scale projects
• Third level qualification in an Engineering/ Construction/ Commercial biased subject
• Proven track record running projects across different regions
• German language would be an advantage
• You must be able to travel across multiple EU countries for this role
• Contracts Management experience on large scale projects would be an advantage
• Excellent multitasker and communicator with strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Working across multiple jurisdictions and maintaining client relations.
• Understand strategy and pipeline for future projects.
• Manage the tender process from an operations function.
• Ensure effective communication between head office departments and site.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate recruitment to support this.
• Provide leadership and motivate staff to achieve production goals.
• Manage budgets and costs in planning processes.
• Liaise with senior management and board to report on project status.
