Job Description:

By joining Citi, you will become part of a global organization whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview

The European Clearing Product (part of the Global Clearing Product team) services our broad FI client community across many subsectors, each impacted by market innovation. We are looking to appoint a product development specialist to the European Clearing team to advance Citi’s agenda in this space. This role involves developing our European Clearing offerings in light of ISO20022 migration across SWIFT and Key FMIs, responding to market changes, and championing the 'next-gen' proposition for European Clearing while ensuring resiliency. It will also be central in driving our commercialization agenda, aligning European Clearing products with USD clearing, and developing core capabilities to attract additional flows.

What you’ll do

The European Clearing Product Manager will join the Payments product team in Dublin, collaborating with Global and UK & Europe Cluster Payments Product Managers and partners across regions to analyze markets, develop client propositions, create product solutions, and ensure the safety and soundness of the product offering.

  • Track P&L for the European product, develop pricing strategies considering market factors, price deals, and approve deals, while monitoring business performance MIS.
  • Formulate and drive tactical and strategic development in alignment with Global Clearing and Payments strategies.
  • Engage with client-facing teams and clients directly to promote Citi’s market-leading propositions and thought leadership.
  • Understand, manage, and mitigate risks associated with payment products.
  • Provide product training and SME support, collaborate with functional partners, and maintain the Product Approval Programme (PAP).
  • Participate in industry groups and forums.
  • Ensure product compliance with regulations and develop strategies based on new regulatory developments (PSD/DORA, etc.).

What we’ll need from you

We seek an individual with a strong background in payments product management, preferably with experience dealing with Financial Institutions and Payment FMIs, with a solid understanding of current regulatory and market developments impacting the FI payments industry. The ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver results is essential.

  • University degree in business, marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Business-oriented with strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills to address FI payments challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and influencing abilities across multiple communication modes.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills.

What we can offer you

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work at the core of Citi’s Payments products for Financial Institution clients, with exposure to driving disruptive change in the industry. It provides significant global interaction, client engagement, and innovative freedom within a fast-paced environment with knowledgeable professionals.

Joining Citi London includes a hybrid work model (up to 2 days remote), a competitive base salary (reviewed annually), and benefits such as:

  • Generous holiday allowance starting at 27 days plus bank holidays, increasing with tenure.
  • Discretionary annual performance bonus.
  • Private medical insurance tailored to your circumstances.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Pension Plan.
  • Paid Parental Leave.
  • Employee discounts for staff, family, and friends.
  • Access to learning and development resources.

We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels comfortable being their authentic selves. We seek the best talent worldwide to energize, motivate, and empower our teams.
