Job summary

Penguin Random House UK is seeking a Head of European Sales to steer the commercial direction for Europe and drive sustainable growth across markets. You will lead with European Sales Directors and translate market insight into actionable plans.

In addition, you’ll take on Product Lead duties for a publishing division, aligning international opportunities with division priorities to maximise sales across the region and beyond.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial sales experience with a track record of delivering growth.
• Strong knowledge of international sales and European markets and retail structures.
• Excellent commercial judgement for revenue and profitability assessments.
• Strong strategic skills to translate objectives into market plans.
• Analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify trends.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the European sales budget with ambitious plans and monitor performance.
• Drive PRH market share and retail presence across Europe with priority partners.
• Identify markets, customers, categories, authors, and titles with growth potential.
• Use market intelligence and customer insight to inform commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and publishing divisions to reflect opportunities in plans.
• Communicate opportunities and market dynamics clearly to senior stakeholders.
