Responsibilities

  • Support the design and return of project bids and tenders.
  • Coordinate with various departments for tender requirements.
  • Produce professional bid responses.
  • Organise bid progress meetings and search for new tenders.
  • Prepare and submit Requests for Information and Proposals.
  • Attend customer meetings for bid clarifications and presentations.
  • Promote the Bids & Tenders Team in internal sales meetings.

We’re looking for a Bids & Tenders Representative based in the UK. We welcome applications from across the UK, with the expectation that the successful candidate will be assigned to one of our designated sites.

What you’ll do
  • Support, develop, and coordinate the design and return of key project bids and tenders across all sales sectors.

  • Take responsibility for tender requirements and coordinate with various departments as well as the customer.

  • Produce compliant, professional, and commercially appealing bid responses.

  • Organise bid progress meetings, actively search for new tenders on relevant platforms, and address customer queries using your deep business knowledge and Aggreko resources.

  • Support your UK&I region, working closely with local management, and be flexible to support other European countries.

  • Prepare, complete, and submit Requests for Information, Pre-Qualifications, Requests for Quotation, Requests for Proposal, Invitations to Tender, and other customer returns.

  • Attend key customer meetings: bid clarifications, bid presentations, bid negotiations.

  • Participate in internal sales meetings to promote the Aggreko Bids & Tenders Team.

You’ll have the following skills and experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with proficiency in English, other European language would be beneficial.

  • Commercially astute with attention to detail and quality.

  • Ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team, managing time for yourself and project teams.

  • Knowledge of or motivation to understand technical applications of Aggreko’s rental product range

  • A good understanding of, or interest in, legal concepts.

  • Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office, PDF writer, CRM, tender and customer portals, SharePoint, etc).

  • Good people skills and ability to lead by influence.
