Job Purpose

Please note: this position offers the ability to work in a hybrid manner, with 2-3 days per week required at Cadent’s Ansty Headquarters.
Interviews are to take place in May 2025.

We are looking for a highly qualified EUC OT Specialist with experience in IT and engineering, ideally within a regulated environment such as utilities or finance. You should have a proven track record in delivering engineering projects, preferably within the gas industry, and possess comprehensive knowledge of gas plant and systems.

A strong understanding of risk management principles, HSE regulations, and engineering processes on operational gas sites is essential; along with in-depth knowledge of physical, personnel, and cyber security principles, and supporting mission-critical systems in a 24x7x365 environment, is necessary. You will be responsible for OT systems, applications, and end-user compute support, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to SLAs.

Responsibilities include managing end-user computer activities, maintaining OT systems and applications, overseeing outsourced support providers, and supporting critical OT systems as part of an on-call rota. You will also promote Cadent’s values and ensure adherence to all policies and standards. If you are ready for this challenging role, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

This is a high-impact role that offers stretch, variety and the chance to shape the future of Cadent’s Operational Technology and SecOps projects.

The successful EUC OT Specialist will:

  1. Be accountable for daily system management support activities on the End User Compute activities on the IT/OT Edge Platform and associated OT devices, including health checks, issue diagnosis, resolution and maintaining OT systems and applications to prevent incidents.
  2. Implement, maintain, and support a reliable build and core application stack for end users, ensuring changes are thoroughly tested and approved.
  3. Provide technical assurance during high priority incidents and problem management, offering expertise in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  4. Support OT Network Engineers in managing the end-to-end OT services and represent Cadent in security forums across the energy sector.
  5. Develop and implement maintenance policies, ensure disaster recovery SOPs are in place and tested, and support the creation of NROs for maintenance and project work.
Skills and Experience

You will be qualified and experienced EUC OT Specialist with:

  1. Expertise in Baseline Build of IT/OT Edge Platform systems, Vulnerability Management, and Security/System/Application patching.
  2. Proficiency in OT RTU change and configuration management, Packaging and Feature release on operating systems, and Endpoint protection anti-virus management and deployment.
  3. Knowledge in clustering, system monitoring, security monitoring, policy administration, and IT security principles.
  4. Skills in developing, maintaining, and supporting systems for high availability, disaster recovery, and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
  5. Experience in system management, administration, and configuration of Windows Server and Client systems.
