Road Freight Forwarder

Location: Felixstowe

Salary: circa. £30,000 - £34,000pa (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00am-5:00pm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider for an experienced Road Freight Forwarder to join their Felixstowe-based operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled freight professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of European trade lanes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate groupage road freight movements across Europe.
• Manage the complete door-to-door operation, including collection, transit, customs (where applicable), and delivery.
• Maintain strong communication with hauliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor schedules, respond to delays, and implement contingency plans as required.
• Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and documentation standards.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in road freight forwarding or transport operations, ideally within a European context.
• In-depth knowledge of European trade lanes and associated transit times.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in transport management systems is an advantage.
