The Role

We are seeking an ETT Engineer based in the West Midlands to work with integrators, distribution partners, and end users to create and support new opportunities and internal projects. The role involves ensuring issues are resolved professionally and promptly. The ideal candidate is a team player who can uphold Hikvision’s business performance and reputation, contributing to sustained business growth.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Engaging and supporting distribution partners’ integrators, specifying and end users to maximize the design, specification, and utilization of Hikvision products and solutions.
  • Providing technical support via phone, email, and internet regarding operational uses, issues, or projects related to the entire product line.
  • Offering on-site technical support within the UK and Ireland as required.
  • Identifying and supporting training and development needs within partners and customers through regular consultation.
  • Proactively scoping technical solutions to meet customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions that add value for both customers and Hikvision.
  • Coaching and developing team members to enhance their product knowledge, technical skills, and sales capabilities.
  • Seeking additional business development opportunities within partners and customers to increase the use of Hikvision products and solutions.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure opportunities are understood, supported, and executed effectively.
  • Monitoring support activities and alerting sales and account teams to potential technical risks affecting deal closure.
  • Assisting in designing and expanding training programs based on organizational and individual needs.
  • Delivering and supporting demonstrations, training sessions, exhibitions, or roadshows related to Hikvision products.
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM system with accurate data on customers, projects, and support tickets.
  • Responding to technical inquiries and resolving issues related to Hikvision products and solutions.
  • Liaising with colleagues locally and worldwide as necessary.
  • Monitoring and reporting on technical support activities and providing management with relevant information.
  • Attending meetings with other functions to support business and organizational development.
  • Participating in regular training to stay updated on market trends and product knowledge.

Skills:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in surveillance or access control roles.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and identify options for improving quality and training processes.
  • Strong communication skills, including providing feedback and confirming understanding.
  • IT network design skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • IP CCTV system design skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Desirable: analogue CCTV system design skills, knowledge, and experience for existing systems and migration.
